Work of Passion

Recently, I've had a little bit of life changes that are impacting the way I work on my projects.  They are pretty damn good kids!  My latest and greatest project is a Zelda: A Link to the Past inspired game.  It's a top-down online action/adventure rpg.  The idea is, it would be fun to play with your best buddies or your kids. I'm trying to make it age-appropriate for anyone.  Not hard to play but complex if you get into playing it.

First off, it's a keyboard only game.  No mouse required and a controller would likely work.  The controls are really easy but very intuitive.

Planned Features:
  • Full town(s) with NPC guards to kill off unwanted threats, merchants, possible quest givers, interesting folk.
  • A plethora of monsters to take on and test your might against.
  • A stupid amount of hats to acquire that change the very way you play and add new abilities.
  • Artifacts that bestow you with abilities of a certain character class and make it easy to change throughout the game's progression.
  • Tons of weapons allowing you  to play the way you want to play.
  • PvP Arena for testing your steel against other players any time you wish.
  • Beware the GM. The server admin can connect to the game and log on as GM to change the game before your very eyes.  They are capable of setting up new obstacles or spawning a group of enemies or even bosses at any moment.  If you see a character with a Halo over their head, run away.

Visual Weapons Framer

This is a mod I made a while back, completely remade and better. The basic idea is, if you take a player model without a weapon attached, and a weapon model without any frames, to have the QC do all of the weapon animation. I should thank daemon for the wonderful idea from his Feral Flesh mod. I know it isn't perfect. All sources are included. If anyone knows of a better way to do this, please do and show me. Links to the right.
